Jimmy serves as Director of Business Development for the ‘Exiting Building’ division S.M. Lawrence Company. For the past 16 years, Jimmy has served in several positions at SML. As an HVAC service technician in the mid 90’s, service account manager in 2000 and in 2004 Jimmy help develop the Memphis, TN market as an expansion for SML. Jimmy’s technical background, account management experience and education have been vital to the success of SML’s growth in the ‘Existing Building’ market. Much of his experience is developing business opportunities with existing buildings, project development, energy consulting and management of customer accounts.

Some of Jimmy’s clients include the FedExForum/Memphis Grizzlies, In-Rel Properties, FedEx, Cook Convention Center, Kellogg's, Bosch, J.M. Smucker Company, Marriott Hotels, Memphis College of Art, Crittenden Regional Hospital, Dana Corporation, Southland Casino and Parkway Realty. Jimmy is also author of Mechanical Matters, which is an online E-Zine (electronic magazine), Blog and Podcast. Jimmy is a strategic leader with a focus on creating relationships at the highest levels within customer and partner organizations. Jimmy's experience and services include mechanical contracting, HVACR service & maintenance, account management, building services, performance contracting, building automation, capital planning, project planning, service agreement sales, energy audits, LEED, Green Design, sales, marketing, writing, and connecting.

Jimmy also serves as Board of Trustee for the Bartlett Chamber of Commerce' energy services division Team Green Zone.

While his trade is mechanical contracting and service, Jimmy's passion is his family, friends, writing, marketing, reading, church, golf, hunting, building consultation and making connections. Often referred to as 'Jimmy V', he is a man of faith and friends. He is funny most of the time, and has fun all of the time. He has never met a stranger.
